The PageRank™ of a page is directly related to the number of other pages that link to that page (and the individual PageRank™ of these other pages). The higher their number (and the higher their individual PageRank™), the higher the PageRank™ of the page. The PageRank™ is of major significance for the ranking in the Google search results.

It is possible to display the Pagerank of a different page from one's own by using technical methods, which we do not wish to discuss further here. This does not, however, result in an improved rating in the search results, only in a different display of the PageRank, for example, in the Google toolbar. Hence, the mirroring only has a "cosmetic" effect.

When we detect that a domain has become available, we check whether the Pagerank was mirrored from a different page. If this is the case, we display the result.

Of course, we cannot guarantee that we can determine the mirroring of the PageRank in all cases. The mirroring is not necessarily an indication of dishonest intentions on the part of the domain owner! The display can, however, give our customers an indication of the actual "value" of a domain!

Once again, time is essential. You should register domains as promptly as possible - and directly, that is, not via a reseller. If your provider is fast, a domain can be registered for you and confirmed within 5 minutes. The further away you are from the registrar, for instance, through resellers who forward your order manually to the actual registrar, the smaller your chances in the race to get a domain registered.

Our Domainwatch service notifies you about domains that are either in "pending delete" status or have become free. If you get a notification about a domain in "pending delete" you should place a backorder for that domain. If someone has placed a backorder it will never reach the status, "available" because the registered individual of that domain will assign a new owner without deleting that domain. Therefore, our service shows "connected" as the current status. It becomes available for normal registering, only if no one wants to backorder this domain. Exact procedure for backordering domains depends on the registered individual and must be done with a backorder service such as backorder.com.

Please note that this pending delete period does not exists for all top level domains. Mainly .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info and .uk domains are handled this way. Other (country code) top level domains (such as .de or .at) become available as soon as the owner drops the domain.

Please examine whether under general attitudes "all indicate" is selected. Set "only filtered". Immediately only the desired Domains are announced.

The monitor does not make any server services available and works with the Windows standard components for network communication. To this extent the program is as safe as the operating system used.

Connection is only established when you set it up, for example, by activating the item "Connect on startup" under Properties. It does not react to detailed connecting inquiries. The registration data and other data exchange is transmitted in encrypted form.

The program does not require administrator rights. You can thus start the program under a reduced user account (e.g. as a guest), in order to increase the security of the system.
